Project Name: Raging Waves Water ParkThis unique project encompassed a variety of risks including deep site utilities in sandy wet conditions, mass grading, underground concrete structures, deep excavating and pool construction, tower construction, multiple crane lifts, aerial work along with extreme sub-contractor management concerns. Labor staffing the project crossed a variety of trades and disciplines. Due to the excessive volume of trades required to bring the project to completion, tight safety controls were necessary. Optimum’s role was to work hand in hand with the owner/general contractor of the park and their construction manager. Site orientation processes were developed not only for project trades but for park staff who began to occupy the park during final, yet still heavy, construction phases. The project was brought to successful completion without significant incident or injury to any of the trades.
